Why ports are so well-connected with logistics?

Sea trades have been very important for every country and his economy. Is a key factor on global trade, plus is very important to local economy growth. Instead of airports and other transportation, seaports and sea trade is quite friendly to the environment and still safe.

Decreased the movement of goods in Thessaloniki (Greece)

“Sink” the port of Thessaloniki in 2009, for the movement of containers, and even recorded an increase movement compared with 2008, but the 270.181 TEUs are almost similar to the capacities achieved in 2003.
